TWO people had to be rescued after the garage adjoining their home caught fire.
They were led to safety at around 1.50am Friday by teams wearing breathing apparatus who then had to evacuated residents from a neighbouring property.
Firefighters treated three people for smoke inhalation.
Three crews from Mildenhall and Newmarket had been called to Turnstone Close, Mildenhall, to deal with the blaze and they remained at the scene until 3.40am to dampen down and ventilate the properties.
