AS the Tour of Britain weaved it’s way through Haverhill and Clare, the crowds continued to turn out in force.

It was proving quite a sight and the speed of the cyclists continued apace.

One hour into the race and they were averaging 50kph.

There were plenty of attacks, but most were pulled back by the Peloton, although Tom Murray (Sigma Sport) and Pieter Jacobs, the Belgian from Topsport Vlaanderen, had taken a lead of sorts as the race flew through Clare.
