A MAIN road in Essex has now reopened after fire crews were called to tackle a coach fire this evening.

Firefighters spent more than an hour dousing the flames that had engulfed the coach.

Police confirmed no-one was injured in the incident, reported at around 7pm today.

Motorists faced delays in both directions on the A414 between the Bassett’s Lane junction in Norton Heath and Four Wantz Roundabout in Chipping Ongar, near Chelmsford.

The A414 has now reopened.
