A young girl’s orthopaedic boots stolen from a hospital in a “despicable” theft have been found.
The handmade black leather boots were handed in at Clacton Police station this morning after they went missing at Colchester General Hospital yesterday,
The boots had been made at a specialist unit at the hospital for a two-year-old girl from Colchester to help her walk.
Her parents, who live in Colchester, will collect the boots “as soon as possible”, a spokesman for Essex Police said.
Investigating officer Pc Steve Walsom had labelled the incident as a “despicable theft” yesterday.
