The westbound carriageway of the A14 near the Seven Hills roundabout will be closed for the rest of the night, police have said.

The closure follows an incident at about 3pm today on the road which involved three lorries.

The drivers involved in the incident are not believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries but one person is believed to have suffered a possible life-changing injury.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said the westbound carriageway will be closed for the night.

He added part of the eastbound carriageway is now passable but he advised motorists to avoid the area.
