Two people who were arrested after around 200 cannabis plants were seized at a property in Stowmarket have been given police bail.

Police carried out a warrant at a house in Bond Street, near the town centre, at around 8.30am yesterday.

A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman confirmed around 200 cannabis plants were seized during the raid in two upstairs rooms.

He said a 45-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man from Stowmarket had been arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis

They have since been released on police bail, due to return to officers at Bury St Edmunds station on January 7.
