A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Ipswich.
The collision happened in London Road, at about 3.30pm today (May 26).
Ambulance staff went to the scene along with police officers.
An ambulance spokeswoman said the man, 44, had sustained a serious head injury.
A rapid response vehicle arrived within two minutes and worked alongside an ambulance crew and a further rapid response vehicle at the scene.
Medical staff worked for an hour stabilising the patient before he was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
Police said the man is from Poland and are appealing for family to get in contact. Call 101.
