A motorcyclist who suffered “potentially life-changing” head injuries is still critical in hospital.
Emergency crews were called to Bull Lane, Long Melford, at around 1.25pm yesterday after the male rider left the road and collided with a fence.
He was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with potentially life-changing head injuries at 2.25pm.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, is understood to be local to the area and was riding a blue and silver Honda 125 motorbike.
A spokesman for the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) said: “The SARS doctor helped treat a male motorcyclist in his 40s who had suffered serious injuries at the scene.
“An air ambulance later arrived and helped transfer the patient to Addenbrooke’s.”
He sustained head, back and leg injuries in the crash. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
