RAIL passengers faced delays this lunchtime due to a blocked line between Colchester and Manningtree.
The blockage was caused by a broken-down freight train.
Greater Anglia services running through these stations were delayed by up to 40 minutes at short notice.
The delays affected services on the mainline and although the train has now been removed, there may be some short delays for some services this afternoon.
