DRIVERS in Thrandeston faced delays this morning after a car and a refuse collection truck collided in the village.

The accident happened at about 10am and an ambulance and police crews were sent to the scene in Mellis Road.

The crash involved a Ford Mondeo car and a white Dennis truck.

The 42-year-old female driver of the Ford Mondeo car involved in the accident was complaining of chest pains and left in the care of ambulance paramedics.

There were no serious injuries and recovery units have cleared the vehicles from the scene.
