Divers were called in to help retrieve a van after it ended up in the River Alde at Orford Quay.
The vehicle was spotted by residents earlier this week, on Wednesday afternoon, and its discovery is said to have caused a commotion in the village.
It is not clear yet as to why the van ended up in the quay. It was pulled out of the river the following day, on Thursday.
Photographer Carl Humphrey, witnessed the van being pulled from the river and captured an image of the vehicle being retrieved from the quay.
Mr Humphrey suggested that the incident could have been due to a problem with the vehicle’s handbrake.
Felixstowe-based Ferry Boatyard Marine Services were called out to Orford to retrieve the stricken van with their specialist craft.
A team of divers were also called in to retrieve the vehicle from the river.
