A FREE fitness class designed to give those that need a helping hand the chance to try one of the latest fitness crazes has been over-subscribed this month.

The Zumba taster sessions, held at All Hallows Church Hall, in Landseer Road, Ipswich, is offered to those who need to take a fresh look at their lifestyle, people suffering from long-term health issues or those who are living on a tight budget. Run by Live Well Suffolk, they are designed to help people take the first step towards regular exercise, giving them the confidence to go on and join their local gym or signgup for a weekly fitness class.

“Often people have the perception of going to an exercise class and finding 20 size-eight dancers,” said Richard Crick, community health coach for Live Well Suffolk. “But our courses target those who are not physically active and want to make changes.”

Classes run on a six-week cycle, giving participants the chance to learn about the hidden benefits of exercise including making you feel more positive, as well as picking up the basic techniques. For more information visit www.livewellsuffolk.org.uk.
