Staff from Flagship Homes and Mencap came together for a day of green-fingered goodness in Ipswich.

The volunteers worked on the garden at the Flagship-operated Redhill Close, which provides accommodation for adults with learning difficulties.

Alice Moore, Flagship team leader, said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere during the day and everyone was really happy to be involved in such a positive project.”

Further improvements are expected after a successful application to the Flagship Community Improvement fund for new outdoor furniture for the garden.

Laura Arroyo, service manager at Ipswich Mencap, added: “We had a wonderful day working on the garden together, and the people we support are amazed at the transformation and cannot wait to make the most of it.”
