PART of a bomb has been discovered on a Suffolk beach today.
The front end piece of ordinance was found by a member of the public walking on the stretch of beach between Dunwich and Walberswick at around 5.30pm.
A coastguard team were out patrolling the beach, searching for a missing man when they were alerted to the discovery.
A spokeswoman for the coastguard team said the bomb squad from the Royal Navy are due to arrive at the scene tomorrow morning to dispose of the bomb part.
The area of beach has been cordoned off.
