A crew from Wattisham Search and Rescue were scrambled today to transport a medical team from London to provide treatment to a child in Norfolk.

The crew left Wattisham Airfield at 10.30am today for King’s College Hospital in London to pick up the medical team specialising in childcare. The team were then transported to King’s Lynn in Norfolk to attend to a two-year-old boy who was unwell.

After being stabilised, the child and medical team were transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
