A section of coastal road has been closed after a portion of the bank collapsed.
Suffolk Constabulary said some of Slaughden Road, near Aldeburgh’s Martello Tower, had been closed since 1pm on Saturday after some of the bank gave way.
The matter was being dealt with by Suffolk County Council and the coastguard. Police were informed as people had tried moving the barriers blocking entry to the road.
The erosion was initially being put down to high winds and high tides.
