WITH heavy snow fall across the region it is not just children out enjoying playing in the white stuff.
At Colchester Zoo the animals are making the most of the wintry weather, enjoying rolling around in the powder.
While some animals are shying away from the freezing temperature, staying warm in their enclosures, the tigers, wolves and bears are loving nothing better than the chance to have play in the snow.
A spokeswoman for the Zoo said their residents have been getting special treats to keep them warm.
She said: “They’ve also being getting extra treats with the keepers cooking up some tasty snacks for the primates to ensure that they stay nice and warm.
“The zoo’s new group of Saki Monkeys have been enjoying fresh warm steamed vegetables as an addition to their diet.”
