A rather cloudy start is greeting most residents across the county, but the sun will start to come out towards the afternoon, with bright and sunny spells breaking through the clouds.

Temperatures will not quite match yesterday’s highs, but the mercury will creep up to 12C with just a light wind making it feel slightly cooler.

Unfortunately the cloud will make its way back overnight, although it will stay mainly dry with temperatures falling to 5C.

And the weekend will get off to a similarly cloudy start with a few spots of rain possible on Saturday morning, but getting better on Sunday where an early mist will clear to leave a dry day with bright and sunny spells and temperatures of 6C.
