A NUMBER of homes were left without electricity after a tree toppled over and brought down power lines.

Engineers from UK Power Networks were called to Westerfield Road, Westerfield, close to Fynn Valley Golf Club, near Ipswich, around 4.30pm yesterday.

Police were also called to the scene and had to close the road in both directions until around 8pm.
