TWO appliances were sent to put out a fire in a rural church this evening.
At 5.40pm, one appliance from Halesworth and one from Wrentham attended an incident at St Andrews Church, in Church Lane, Westhall.
The first appliance was in attendance at just after 5.50pm and discovered some items in the church were on fire.
These were removed and the crews ventilated the church which was smoke logged and checked the building for hot spots by using a thermal imaging camera.
Crews were back at their stations by about 6.40pm.
