Witham: Man arrested after tanker lorry and car collision on A12

A man has been arrested after a tanker lorry and a car collided on the A12 in north-east Essex.
A 20-year-old man from Cockfosters, London, is being questioned by police following the collision on a slip road of the northbound carriageway at Witham at about 8.40am today.
The incident involved a petrol tanker and a blue Ford Focus.
An Essex Police spokesman said the 20-year-old man, the driver of the Ford Focus, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and was taken to Colchester police station for questioning.
