POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a man exposed himself to a teenage boy in Witham.
The incident happened in an alleyway off Spinks Lane on Tuesday January 31 at about 5.45pm.
A man made a lewd suggestion to the 17-year-old, then exposed himself and started to perform a lewd act. The boy ran off. He was shocked but uninjured.
The man was described as being white, in his 30s, of stocky build and had spiky dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and jeans.
Sergeant James Vandecar said: “This type of incident is rare in Witham, and police are anxious to identify this man as soon as possible. “I would ask anyone with information about this incident to contact investigating officer Pc Benjamin Towns at Witham police station on 101, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
