POLICE are hunting three men in a left-hand drive sports car who assaulted a woman in Mildenhall.

The incident happened in Hereward Avenue, Mildenhall between 1am and 1.20am yesterday.

A police spokeswoman told how the woman was walking along Croft Place when a dark left-hand drive sports car drove past.

“When she turned onto the footpath to Hereward Avenue the car drew level and the occupants shouted abuse to her,” the spokeswoman said. “Two men then got out of the car and attempted to get hold of her but she struggled free and ran off onto Wake Avenue.”

The car is described as having large tyres, alloy wheels, tinted windows and leather seats.

The driver is described as male, white, of medium build, was wearing a white top and spoke with an American accent.

The second man was black, of stocky build, with a shaved head and wore a black bomber jacket, black trousers, white trainers, black gloves and a black scarf. A third man, who also got out of the vehicle, is described as black and wore a black jacket and black gloves.
