A WOMAN has suffered face and back injuries after she was attacked on her driveway by a man pretending to sell Christmas cards.

A WOMAN has suffered face and back injuries after she was attacked on her driveway by a man pretending to sell Christmas cards.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the assault on the woman who was getting out of her car on the driveway of her Mildenhall home when the man approached her.

A police spokesman said: “She was arriving home in her car when she saw a man walking along the drive towards her house. As she went to get out of her car the man approached offering Christmas cards for sale. She declined to buy any and he put his foot in the car door stopping the woman from closing it.”

He said that the woman was then assaulted causing injuries to her face and back before he walked away between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday.

The man is described as white, in his 50s, of slim build, 5ft 10ins tall with straight hear and wearing a light coloured jacket.
