A WOMAN whom doctors in Chelmsford suspected may have contracted swine flu was found to be clear of the disease this afternoon.

The woman went to Broomfield Hospital yesterday after suffering symptoms of the potentially fatal illness.

She was treated in isolation and infection control procedures were scrupulously followed while the tests were carried out.

However, when the results were found to be negative she was allowed to go home.
