A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in north Essex.
Firefighters were called to Albert Place, Coggeshall, near Colchester at around 7.30pm.
On arrival crews reported that the fire was already out. They inspected the property to ensure it was safe, before leaving the scene at around 7.55pm.
A fire spokesman said: “A woman had left the property before they arrived and was suffering after breathing in smoke. Firefighters administered oxygen therapy while awaiting the attendance of an ambulance team. She was later left in their care.”
A fire investigation will be carried out to establish the cause
