THE body of a woman has been found in a river in Essex, police said today.Emergency services were called at 8am by members of the public who spotted the woman in the River Chelmer near Sandford Mill in Chelmsford.

THE body of a woman has been found in a river in Essex, police said today.
Emergency services were called at 8am by members of the public who spotted the woman in the River Chelmer near Sandford Mill in Chelmsford.
The body was recovered by Essex Police's marine unit and local officers. The death is not believed to be suspicious and an inquest will be held at a later date.
Essex Police said they were informing relatives of the woman, who is in her fifties and from the local area.
