A MOTORIST who has admitted causing the death of a motor cyclist by careless driving on the A12 will be sentenced next month.

The accident happened in the northbound carriageway close to the turning for Seckford Hall, near Woodbridge, on February 19.

Motorcyclist Andrew Henderson, 33, from Colchester died at the scene.

Simmons, 57, of Park Lane, Kirton, who was driving a blue Vauxhall Zafira, pleaded guilty to causing Mr Henderson’s death by careless driving at a plea hearing at Ipswich Crown Court,

Sentence was adjourned until September 28 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared on him.
