Schoolchildren across Suffolk and Essex marked World Book Day with a parade of costumes for their favourite characters.

World Book Day is celebrated by thousands of children every year, with youngsters dressing up as their favourite characters.

Students at Castle Hill Primary School in Ipswich fully embraced the day, with students dressing up as Dr Seuss, Frodo Baggins, Harry Potter and The Grinch - just to name a few.

Everyone got into the spirit of the day, with a hutch in Landguard Road, Felixstowe converted into the Little Landguard Free Library - complete with books for adults and children.
