AN investigation is underway after the body of a yachtswoman was discovered in Shotley Marina.

AN investigation is underway today after the body of a yachtswoman was discovered in Shotley Marina.
The body was found shortly before 9.30am yesterday .
Holbrook coastguard were called in by police to assist with recovering the middle-aged woman's body from the water near the marina's pontoons.
Paramedics were also sent to the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead.
The Marine Accident Investigation Branch has been informed.
