Today's FA Trophy First Round draw has thrown up some very tasty ties for our Non League sides especially the two remaining Suffolk sides. AFC Sudbury's reward for a fine win at Conference South Weston-Super-Mare on Saturday is a home tie against Conference Premier Oxford United.
The former League side are currently mid table. Bury Town meanwhile must travel to face last season's FA Cup heroes, Havant & Waterlooville. Bury, who recorded a great win at Hampton & Richmond in the last round, now face another Conference South side and a far more daunting task.
Elsewhere, and a massive game for Histon as they have been paired with neighbours Cambridge United who they beat two seasons ago at this stage. If Braintree Town can overcome Farnborough in this weeks replay they will face either Wingate & Finchley or Sutton United at Cressing Road. Cambridge City received a plum home draw against Kettering Town while King's Lynn must travel to Workington.
Ties to be played Saturday, December 13th with a prize of £5000.
