GIRLS' football is growing with an increasing number of youngsters playing the game. And Witnesham Wasps have a flourishing Under-12 side that plays in the Suffolk Girls and Women's League.
The club was formed in 1995 and now have three girls' teams as well as a host of boys' sides.
Graeme Brock started managing the under 12's last season when they finished third in the table.
They are currently third this campaign with a couple of games in hand having scored 20 goals and conceded just three.
“We have three players who attend the Player Development Centre at Portman Road and have a lot of talent throughout the squad,” said Brock.
“Although we're a good team it's not about just winning. Our girls play in a fair manner and they are a credit to the club.” Any girl interested in joining Witnesham Wasps should contact Brock on 01473 890795 or Colin Richards on 01473 890012.
