EVERYONE from couch potatoes to fitness fanatics is being urged to get active in Babergh today.
The district council has launched an initiative aimed at getting all ages to take part in sport, be it running or rambling.
Active South Suffolk will work with existing sports clubs and the likes of dance organisations to improve the opportunities that people have to get and stay active.
The Active South Suffolk partnership includes Babergh District Council, Sport England, schools and many voluntary groups and clubs.
Sue Longhurst, Babergh's community development officer (sport), said: “We hope it will engage the whole community to take part in sport and other active arts and leisure pursuits.”
