Virgo, 24, has been farmed out to the Championship outfit following an unsuccessful spell with the Scottish champions.
He signed for £1.5million from Brighton in July 2005 but failed to hold down a first team place at Parkhead.
He spent last season at Coventry on a season-long loan move.
