THEY may be out of the FA Cup but Jim Magilton has called on his players to treat tonight's match as their very own cup final.

The Blues boss is keen that his side carry on where they left off at Watford in terms of performance from his players and the crowd's backing.

He said: “Our support was magnificent and carried us for the 90 minutes, and in particular the second half when we were down to 10 men.

“Our lads responded to that and we want that again.

“Tuesday becomes our cup final now and we need to stand up to a very good Wolves side.

“There is no glory in defeat and, even though we were glorious at Watford, the record books will show we went out in the fifth round.

“We have had an inconsistent season and, while we want to enjoy the highs, we need to present ourselves on Tuesday night and get back to winning ways.”

With Jason De Vos expected to return, Chris Casement will also drop out while Danny Haynes may miss out with Alan Lee and Jon Walters both available.

Owen Garvan is also back after a one-match ban and may dislodge Matt Richards or Gary Roberts.

Irish midfielder George O'Callaghan will find out early this afternoon if he has been successful in his appeal against the sending off at Watford and if so be involved tonight.

An appeals panel will see a ProZone tape of the incident and decide whether the referee's red card should stand and, if it does, O'Callaghan will be banned for the three games starting tonight, then Saturday's trip to Southampton and the home game with QPR the following week.

Magilton said: “It is only right we appeal. The club should show their solidarity with him and have appealed on his behalf. He played very well and was heartbroken about the sending off.”

Magilton warned that eighth-placed Wolves, who have not lost in four games and are targeting a top-six finish, will be tough opposition.

He said: “Wolves have a terrific work ethic and Kightly and Ward are great signings for them.

“Andy Keogh was someone we looked at and I'm a big fan of his. Wolves are on a surge and have the play-offs in sight.”
