Youth rugby charity match
SOME of the best young rugby talent in Suffolk and Norfolk was on show last week in a special match to raise money for cancer sufferer Stefan Cawson.
Cawson, 17, is battling testicular cancer and Woodbridge Rugby Club, who he plays for, faced up to North Walsham in a match which raised more than £700.
Bob Little, one of the organisers, said: “It was a fantastic match between some of the best young players in this area. We were very lucky with the weather, too.
“We raised £700, but the fundraising will continue. We were given a shirt signed by the entire Northampton team and we are being sent one from Leicester as well.”
The representative side included players from Stowmarket, Sudbury, Bury, Ipswich, Diss, Lowestoft and Yarmouth.
