MATT Richards is today poised to sign a new three-year deal with Ipswich Town.
The left-footed star who has enjoyed a new lease of life in the Blues midfield, agreed the new contract with his current deal due to expire in the summer.
Yet another player who graduated from the famous Ipswich Town Academy, Richards made his debut as a 16-year-old in the UEFA Cup in Luxemburg and has gone on to make 125 appearances for the Blues. He is set to make his 100th start against Leicester City tomorrow.
Now the allotted penalty-taker for the Blues, Richards has banged in three without hesitation among his four goals for the season.
