Jack Lankester has signed his first professional contract with Ipswich Town.
The 18-year old striker has signed a two-year deal at Portman Road, keeping him at the club until at least the summer of 2020.
The forward was a regular goalscorer for the Blues’ Under 18s last season, including a brace in the FA Youth Cup clash with Dagenham & Redbridge, while he also forced his way into the Under 23 side towards the end of last season. He scored goals in each of his last three games.
Lankester also spent time on loan with Bury Town last season.
He also made two appearances for the first team during pre-season, coming on as a substitute against both West Ham and MK Dons.
