Former Ipswich Town loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers has signed a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
The young central defender arrived at Portman Road in January having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Sheffield United, hitting the ground running and putting in a series of impressive displays as part of the Blues’ back three.
In total the United States international made 17 appearances for the Blues and stated he would be interested in a further loan next season, depending on what Tottenham’s plans were for him.
He has now extended his deal at White Hart Lane until the summer 2021, having made four appearances for his parent club - two in both the FA and League Cups.

Prior to his exit, former manager Mick McCarthy insisted he would be keen to work with Carter-Vickers again, while the original deal to bring him to Portman Road was brokered by caretaker manager Bryan Klug - a former Tottenham youth coach.
“I’ve really enjoyed it,” the United States international said of his time at Portman Road.
“It’s been my first full season playing senior football and I’ve learnt a lot and like to think I’ve improved as a player.
“I’m not sure (what’s next) because that’s not really my decision – it’s for Tottenham. All I know is that I’m going back to Tottenham for pre-season and see what happens from there.
“Yeah, definitely,” he added when asked if he would consider a return to Ipswich.
“I want to play football so if the opportunity comes and the manager at Tottenham says he doesn’t need me and the opportunity to play football again in the Championship comes up then I will be up for it.
“Things change in football quickly so you never know.”
