One of the country’s top schools rugby festivals takes place in Suffolk this weekend.
The St Joseph’s College National Festival, now in its 31st year, brings together 16 of the top youth rugby sides in the country at the college, in Ipswich, to decide who is the best over two days of action.
Over the years some of the top talent in the game has graced the festival - former England captain Chris Robshaw, British & Irish Lion Mako Vunipola and England winger Charlie Sharples have all competed.
The home side will be bidding to win the festival for the first time since 2013.
Danielle Clarke, college principal, said: “The Rugby Festival is a huge team effort and a wonderful annual celebration not just of rugby but of a community pulling together to produce an outstanding event. ”
Action starts on both Saturday and Sunday at 9am. Car parking costs £5 for one day and £8 for both, with a programme included.
