AFC YourShirts won the Club Colours Cup in spectacular style on Saturday, fighting back from three-goals down to eventually defeat Cockfield United, 3-2 on penalties, at Old Newton.
Division Four champions Yourshirts maintained their record of having never lost to a fellow SIL club in what is their first-ever season, but at one stage that statistic looked set to be ended, as Division Three runners-up Cockfield raced into a 3-0 lead before half-time, courtesy of Robert Hudson-Hill, Tom Lampshire and Oliver Wardrop.
However, you could sense the tide was when Yourshirts pulled a goal back midway through the second half, the Ipswich side eventually pulling level two minutes from time, their goals coming from Steve Smith (2) and Kieren Cotterell.
Cockfield had a goal ruled out for offside in extra-time, before nerves then played a part in the penalty shoot-out, Yourshirts winning in sudden death, goalkeeper Derren Burn making two saves.
