Ipswich Town are set to sign former Wolves defender Kevin Foley until the end of the season, as a replacement for the departing Jonathan Parr.
Foley, who played under manager Mick McCarthy at Wolves, played for the Blues’ under 21 side against Charlton on Monday and is now set to join on a short-term deal, as a replacement for Parr.
Norwegian club Stromsgodset today confirmed the signing of Parr on a deal until the summer of 2019, with McCarthy happy to bring in Foley as his replacement.
“Kevin is signing for us. He’s a great lad,” McCarthy told the club’s official website.
“He’s coming in until the end of the season to replace Jonny Parr, giving us good cover and competition for both full-back positions so we’re delighted to have him here.”
