Felixstowe came out on top of a close encounter with Ipswich Wanderers on Tuesday night, coming from behind to take all three points and maintain their 100% league record with a 2-1 win.
It was as close as the scoreline suggests with the visitors taking a first-half lead through McKenzie’s deflected shot with Stuart Ainsley levelling the scores before the break. The winning goal came from the Seasiders captain Rhys Barber in the 71st minute who was first to react after Spurling had made a stunning save to deny Powell.
The win moved the Seasiders up to second in the Thurlow Nunn Premier table behind champions Norwich United.
