Colchester United teenager Frankie Kent is set to start against Sheffield United tonight.

And manager Tony Humes has “no qualms” about giving the 18-year-old his big chance, following Magnus Okuonghae’s sending-off at Leyton Orient on Saturday.

Okuonghae starts a four-match ban this evening, after picking up his second red card of the season, and Academy product Kent is in pole position to replace him in the back four.

Kent impressed as a 45th minute substitute in the 2-0 win at Brisbane Road, following skipper Okuonghae’s dismissal.

“I was really pleased with Frankie,” enthused manager Humes.

“He looked really composed out there.

“Obviously Frankie is still learning, but he has to learn by being put in these situations.

“That’s the only way he is going to get a career in the game, by giving him these opportunities.

“So I have no qualms about Frankie being in there on Tuesday night,” added Humes.
