The Commonwealth Games start in Glasgow tonight, with Suffolk duo Goldie Sayers and Chris Walker-Hebborn among the brightest English medal hopes.
Newmarket javelin thrower Sayers, 32, has returned with a bang this summer following the two years of injury hell which followed her London 2012 Olympics heartache.
And Bury St Edmunds swimmer Walker-Hebborn, 24, is also determined to gain some 2012 redemption, having completely reinvented himself as a short-distance backstroke specialist following his disappointing display on the big stage.
Fellow former Team Ipswich swimmer Lewis Coleman and Ipswich hockey duo Harry Martin and George Pinner will also be in action at the Games, as will teenage Chelmsford 800 metre runner Jessica Judd and Maldon cyclist Alex Dowsett.
