IPSWICH Witches team manager Pete Simmons admitted his riders are out for revenge “big time” tonight as the Plymouth Devils visit Foxhall in the Premier League.

The Witches emerged second best from a bruising battle in Devon on Friday evening, the Devils winning 47-43.

Leigh Lanham and Mat Tresarrieu both hit the fence on the first bend in heat seven as Ipswich led 23-19 but, by heat nine the hosts had taken the lead and never relinquished it.

Simmons is hoping for a better outcome this time round.

“We are out for revenge big time,” said Simmons.

“We got duffed up a bit at Plymouth, two of our guys got wiped out on in one race and suffered cuts and bruises. In the end we finished with one point.

“We will be looking to put one over on them at Foxhall and make sure they know that they have been in a race.”

Taylor Poole continues at No. 1 for the Witches with Leigh Lanham number three and the in-form Morten Risager in reserve.

“I think Leigh has got that monkey off his back but that crash at Plymouth curtailed his scoring a bit,” said Simmons.

“Taylor is going to struggle at number one because of a lack of match fitness, while Risager held us together at Plymouth.”
