Ipswich Witches 48 Rye House Rockets 45
IPSWICH Witches moved back to the top of the southern section of the League Cup, with a last-heat victory over a gallant Rye House.
The Witches looked set for maximum points in a meeting they were dominating, but when the Rockets gained a tactical ride 7-2 in heat 11 it all changed and, suddenly on top, the visitors grabbed an unlikely point.
For once Ipswich reserves, Cameron Heeps and Rohan Tungate were off colour and despite the fine return to form of Mat Tresarrieu, the home fans were grateful of a drawn heat 15 to gain the victory.
