NATIONAL selector Geoff Miller entertained around 150 guests at a fund-raising dinner at the Royal Hospital School at Holbrook, near Ipswich.
The former Derbyshire, Essex and England all-rounder was the guest of honour at the dinner, which was raising funds for the school’s forthcoming under-15 cricket tour to Barbados.
The team leave on March 23 and will play five matches, in addition to watching a T20 international between the West Indies and Australia at the Kensington Oval.
The dinner, which included fund-raising games, an auction and a draw, was organised by former Essex cricketer Don Topley, who works at the school.
As well as Miller and Topley, former Essex bowler Ray East was in attendance as well as current Essex - and England Under-19 cricketers - Reece Topley and Ben Foakes.
