COLCHESTER’S Lee Purdy will defend his British Welterweight title against experienced Londoner Colin Lynes on November 9.
Purdy, 24, whose last two fights have seen him stop Craig Watson - on both occasions in the fifth round - to win and then defend the belt will take on the wily Lynes, who has lost nine of 44 professional bouts at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
“Fighting Colin is a great test for my second defence,” said Purdy, nicknamed “Lights out”.
“I feel like I am ready to move up to European level and to prove that I need to win fights like this one, against good fighters who have had success in the places that I want to go.”
