U's BOSS Aidy Boothroyd admitted his side “weren't very good” last night - but he won't be over-reacting to the defeat.
It was the first time since the 0-0 draw at Southampton in early September that they had failed to score, but while the U's boss was disappointed, he won't be too tough on his players.
“We weren't very good,” he said. “I'm disappointed with the result, but you could see they were running around like they'd won the World Cup at the end.
“I've said to my players they have earnt that reaction because of the reputation they've built. We've got to the stage where we aren't expected to lose and we are in the shadow of what we've done before.
“I don't think two defeats from 16 is anything to be worried about - it's something to be annoyed about - but not too worried by.
“I want to win every game and so do the players, but talking about it and doing it are totally different things.
“This is a little reminder to everybody that if we want to be successful then we have got to be on it every single game”
